What is a school transport plan?
A School Transport Plan is an action plan for safer and more environmentally friendly traffic to school. Mobiel 21 uses an online questionnaire in combination with a digital map that allows everyone to mark out their route to school and indicate dangerous and safe points. The more people take part, the more complete the final picture of the routes to school will be.
A school transport plan is the ideal precursor to a school route map showing parents and pupils the best routes to school.
Who is collaborating?
To make a good school transport plan, you need everyone's help: management, teachers, (grand)parents, municipality, local police and, of course, the pupils themselves.

A stepping stone to a child-friendly school environment
A school transport plan is an excellent stepping stone to raise road safety and possible bottlenecks with local authorities and businesses in the school environment.
For municipalities, it is also interesting that they can load the collected data on a GIS map. This gives them a practical tool to help find solutions and work towards healthy and child-friendly streets.
