'Inclusive mobility' workshop
Mobility poverty prevents people from fully participating in society. Cities and municipalities want to tackle the problem, but struggle to identify and solve it. During this CIVINET .BE workshop, we will reflect on methodologies and local solutions to improve inclusion in mobility policies.
Mobility poverty as a complex issue
Mobility poverty is a challenge for cities and municipalities. Due to a lack of money, knowledge, facilities or skills, some people do not get smoothly to their work, shop, childcare, family, sports club or doctor. These people live in mobility poverty and therefore cannot actively participate in society, resulting in loneliness and social exclusion.
Many local governments want to tackle the problem, but struggle with how to identify mobility poverty and find targeted solutions. What data and methodologies are useful? And how do you make sure more people get where they want to get?
During a CIVINET .BE workshop on Thursday 16 April (9-13h), we will actively engage with insights and tools from the European project. We will look at how you can apply relevant methodologies locally and think together about solutions for specific challenges in your city or municipality. We will conclude with a convivial lunch. So be sure to attend.
Participation in the workshop is free of charge. The number of places is limited. So register today.
