PING wins Eurobike Award 2019
PING, the innovative tool that allows cyclists themselves to collect data about their cycling experiences, has won a prestigious award at Eurobike 2019 in Friedrichshafen.

Mobile 21 and Bike Citizens recently snatched the 2019 Eurobike Award in the 'Concepts & Digital Projects' category with PING. The professional jury in Friedrichshafen chose PING from over 400 entries.
Citizen science makes cycling even finer
PING is simple tool that allows cyclists themselves to collect data on their cycling routes, cycling experiences and the bottlenecks they encounter along the way. All they need is a bike, a PING button on their handlebars and an app on their smartphone. By collecting data from the cyclist's perspective, they help cities and municipalities make cycling even more enjoyable. Citizen science at its best!
Several European cities have already started using PING, such as Brussels (2017), Amsterdam (2019) and Munich (2020). Your city or municipality can also use the tool to make cycling even more enjoyable. And that together with local cyclists.
PING allows cycling-friendly cities and towns to improve their infrastructure using data generated by the cycling network itself. A great idea.
