Neighbourhood bicycle parking: Best practices explored
Decent neighbourhood bicycle parking facilities play an important role in how often people cycle. We conducted research in Ghent, Antwerp, Bruges and some Dutch cities to investigate the trends in neighbourhood bicycle parking. We collected the best practices in this clear guide for local authorities.
The right bicycle parking in the right place
Anyone who can park their bike in a safe and comfortable way, preferably at max 200 m from their home, will also jump on their bike more often. Commissioned by Fietsberaad Vlaanderen, we took a close look at the best examples from Belgium and the Netherlands. We looked at the needs, supply and locations and collected the results in a clear report that policymakers can use to shape their cycling policy.
