How many fewer days of car?

It is not how many Days Less Car but how many people participate that is important. To efficiently tackle the biggest social challenge of the 21st century, we need not a few thousand but millions of Flemish people to drive as many Days Less Car as possible.

We are enormously proud of the impact we are making with 30 Days Less Car. The campaign proves that a lot of people think things can and should be different. More than that, thanks to the high response rate to the surveys, we can give policymakers a unique insight into their motivations. The result is a fascinating final report packed with insights and tips for improvement and change.

Recommendations for policymakers

The campaign gives participants not only a challenge but also a megaphone to honk their feedback into the ears of policymakers. Thanks to a nicely devised follow-up system with surveys and focus groups, we manage to register participants' input, suggestions and bottlenecks as much as possible. We then incorporate these in a clear report full of practical recommendations to remove the barriers to sustainable mobility as much as possible. If we want people to move radically differently, we also need an equally radical switch in mobility policy.

The campaign makes people aware of the alternatives to AUTOmatism. This is different for everyone, of course, but 30 Days Less Car does make people think about how things can be done differently.
