Summer School CityLAB XII: Age-Friendly Cities
How accessible are urban environments for older people? How age-proof are mobility infrastructure, daily amenities and local policies?
In this summer school, we offer a comprehensive understanding of the main challenges in research, policy and practices to ageing in cities. Through an inter- and transdisciplinary approach, workshops with experts and field visits, we will explore good practices that support older adults to make optimal use of their urban environment.
Highlights in the programme:
* Experience the city like older adults do
* Learn how to conduct research with older people through co-creation
* Approach age-friendly cities from different angles, such as mobility, food accessibility and housing
Fighting transport poverty
Everyone has the right to move freely and participate in society. We support people facing transport disadvantages by identifying vulnerable groups, and seek to integrate equity into sustainable mobility.
