Jubilee 50 Years Child & Society
Child & Society is 50 years old. They are celebrating with an experience day. You are free to come in whenever you can - but be sure to be there at 15h00 for the plenary reception, because that is when we will toast our anniversary with a speech and a piece of cake, and announce a brand new participation tool. Throughout the entire office building, you can take a look at history, browse through publications from the past to the present and get to know our various tools and methodologies in an approachable way. In a playful gallery we visualise our work.
In different places in and around our office we will hold short workshops (20 min):
Session 1: 13h50 - 14h10
1A: Playing with the blocks of Space Heroes
1B: How do girls look at the city?
Session 2: 2.20pm - 2.40pm
2A: Hanging out in the teenage fabric
2B: On a wake-up call with Young Roadkeepers
Session 3: 4pm - 4.20pm
Meet the new participation tool!
Session 4: 4.30pm - 4.50pm
4A: Will children still be playing outside in 50 years?
4B: The secret of '8-80-800': this is how to make play policy
Creating people-friendly streets
Streets should prioritise people over cars. Through creative campaigns, temporary interventions and experiments, we show how cities and towns can reclaim space for walking, cycling and community life.
