Based on figures, insights and knowledge, we examine how Flanders can take steps forward for more road safety for active road users. With keynotes by, among others, Prof Rachel Aldred (University of Westminster) on "living streets and safe traffic" and Prof Stefaan Walgrave (University of Antwerp) on "politics, public opinion and perception". The framing of road accidents involving active road users will also be discussed.
