School Map
Parents are often afraid of sending their children to school on foot or by bike because they think it is too dangerous or they do not know the safest route to school. A School Map - or school accessibility map - is a street map of the school neighbourhood that indicates the safest cycling and walking routes to school. The map comes with handy tips and pictures so that students and supervisors can learn how they can get to school safely.
A School Map is a handy instrument for:
- informing parents and students about the school routes
- convincing parents and students to cycle and walk to school
- learning about safe and environment-friendly traffic in class
Mobiel 21 can guides schools throughout the whole process of making the School Map: outlining the route, designing the layout and printing the map. Based on the outcome of two or three meetings with the schools, local police and local authorities and in close collaboration with all those concerned, Mobiel 21 can provide schools with a readable and visually attractive School Map.
